Sun Devil Battalion: nationally recognized for ROTC excellence

Arizona State University creates opportunities for military service and leadership through its Sun Devil Battalion, a national leader in ROTC programs. The Sun Devil Battalion received the U.S. Army Cadet Command 5th Brigade’s Geronimo Award, which recognizes excellence in fulfilling the ROTC mission through community involvement, Junior ROTC mentorship and strong morale. Established in 1935, the Sun Devil Battalion is one of the oldest ROTC programs in the nation, and continues to distinguish itself in cadet diversity, high STEM field enrollment and prolific production of commissioned officers.
